Upcycling workshop

We are pleased to say that we have recently formed a valuable partnership with Watford Women’s Centre which will result in a range of art-based and life skill courses for our service users, to be run from the CMG. The first of these are 5 upcycling workshop sessions starting next week, Wednesday 3rd May, and continuing each Wednesday until 31st May. The sessions will run from 12.30pm - 3.30pm each week.

Please encourage service users to join us for these creative sessions to make beautiful and useful things from unwanted materials. No experience required.

Booking for this course is essential and can be done by replying to this email or phoning or texting 07860 695 141. The friendly tutor, Tanya, will teach participants different techniques including hand dying.

Posters have been distributed around services so please can I ask that you ensure they are clearly displayed and take opportunities to actively encourage service users to take part. One of our CMG service users got so much out of a similar course run previously from the Women’s Centre and was enthused about it for weeks, proudly showing everyone what she made!

The sessions can only run if sufficient participants book due to HAFLS funding requirements, therefore we will need good take-up to ensure that this course and go ahead. Please note that this course is available to both men and women. Watford Women’s Centre have now extended their services to work with both.

We look forward to receiving your bookings as soon as possible.
